Lithium Batteries

Lithium batteries are, quite simply, the top of the line when it comes to portable power. Lithium batteries offer numerous advantages over AGM and other battery types – predominantly greater depth of discharge. While alternative battery types only offer up to 50% depth of discharge, a lithium battery can discharge up to 80% of its usable capacity safely, so they deliver much more power throughout the life of the battery.
All our KickAss lithium batteries come with integrated battery management systems to protect them from damage caused by deep discharge and over-voltage. They also offer exceptionally high discharge rate, so they have the capability to deliver a significant amount of electrical current over a short period.
KickAss offer multiple types of lithium batteries including 100Ah lithium batteries, 120Ah lithium batteries, 200Ah lithium batteries and more. Many are available in convenient slim and ultra-slim designs, so they’re easy to install in tight spaces.

Benefits of Buying A Deep Cycle Lithium Battery

A deep cycle lithium battery has a number of benefits compared to its AGM counterparts that make it an appealing choice for many campers. Lithium batteries are known to have far better charging efficiency and consistent outage than AGM batteries. However, where you'll really feel the difference is the battery capacity. A 120Ah lithium deep cycle battery is equivalent to a 240Ah AGM battery. This means that your lithium battery will last significantly longer and save you money in the long run. Lithium batteries are also lightweight, weighing about a 3rd of an AGM battery of the same size.

How Do I Charge A Lithium Battery?

Our 12V LifePO4 batteries can be easily recharged from any DCDC, AC or MPPT Solar Charger! Depending on your situation there may be a method of charging which is more suitable for your situation and set up.

The most common way is via a lithium compatible DC-DC charger which will charge your 12V lithium battery from your vehicle's alternator while your 4WD vehicle is running. Or simply charge your 12V lithium battery using the power of the sun, by plugging your solar panel directly into the DCDC charger.

Alternatively, you can charge your battery from a 240V source (like your normal power outlets at home). The KickAss 22Amp 240V AC charger and 32Amp 240V AC Charger are both lithium compatible, connecting directly to your 12V lithium battery to charge from home.
