I recently bought the KickAss DC500 Lithium Power Station for road and camping trips, and it’s been a game changer. At just 5.5 kg, it’s super lightweight and easy to carry, yet the 512 Wh LiFePO₄ battery packs enough power to keep my 39L Engel fridge, phones, and lights running overnight with juice to spare.
The LCD screen is a big plus—it clearly shows battery level, input/output power, and charging status, so there’s no guessing. I love the multiple outputs, especially the USB-C PD and Anderson port, which make it versatile for different gear. The built-in LED lights are surprisingly bright and came in handy at night.
Charging it with my 100 W solar panel was easy and took about 5 hours on a sunny day. The build feels tough enough for 4WD trips, and the BMS protection gives me confidence in its safety.
