The KickCharge DC500 has a 512Wh (40Ah @ 12.8V) LiFePO4 battery and can power devices like a 45L fridge (50W) for 9 hours, a laptop (85Wh) for 5.5 recharges, or a smartphone (15Wh) for 38 recharges. It delivers up to 300W continuous power via its DC Anderson output.
This means you can confidently run multiple devices on your next adventure, from essential camping lights to your electronic gear, with reliable and long-lasting power.
What types of devices can I charge or power with the KickCharge DC500?
The power station supports multiple outputs: 12V Anderson output (25A max), USB C PD (60W max), three USB A QC 3.0 ports (18W max each), a 12V cigarette lighter output (10A max), and two 12V DC 5521 outputs (5A max each).
This wide range of outputs lets you charge everything from laptops and smartphones to 12V TVs, CPAP machines, drones, and camping lights simultaneously, making it perfect for off-grid adventures.
How do I set up and operate the KickCharge DC500 power station?
To operate, hold the power button for three seconds to turn it on. Then activate each output by short pressing its corresponding control button: Anderson output, USB C/A ports, or 12V cigarette lighter/DC 5521 outputs.
This intuitive control system allows you to power only the ports you need, conserving energy and giving you full control over your power usage on the go.
How long does it take to recharge the KickCharge DC500 and what charging options are available?
The KickCharge DC500 can be fully recharged in about 6.5 hours via the 240V AC adaptor, around 5 hours using solar panels (up to 100W max), or approximately 5.5 hours from a car charger.
These flexible charging options ensure you can recharge your power station quickly whether you’re at home, driving, or camping under the sun, keeping your devices powered wherever you are.
Is it safe to use the KickCharge DC500 power station outdoors or in damp conditions?
The power station must not be used in rain, snow, or high humidity and should be stored in a dry, ventilated place. It features built-in protections against overload, over temperature, and short circuits for safe operation.
While designed for rugged outdoor use, following these guidelines ensures your power station remains reliable and safe, giving you peace of mind on every trip.
Can I use multiple outputs at the same time on the KickCharge DC500?
Yes, you can use multiple outputs simultaneously, including all USB ports, cigarette lighter, DC 5521, and Anderson outputs, as long as the total power draw does not exceed the maximum continuous output limits (300W max on Anderson, 10A max on cigarette lighter).
This multi-output capability allows you to power or charge several devices at once, making the KickCharge DC500 a versatile and efficient power solution for camping and off-grid adventures.
What kind of battery does the KickCharge DC500 use and how does it benefit me?
The power station uses a 512Wh LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery, known for its long cycle life, safety, and stability compared to other lithium batteries.
This means you get a durable, safe, and reliable power source that can withstand many charge cycles while maintaining performance, ideal for frequent outdoor use and extended trips.
How do I clean and maintain the KickCharge DC500 to keep it in top condition?
Clean the power station occasionally with a damp cloth, ensuring it is disconnected from any power source before cleaning. Avoid using sharp objects or alcohol-based cleaners to prevent damage.
Regular gentle cleaning helps maintain the product’s appearance and functionality, ensuring your KickCharge DC500 stays looking great and working perfectly for years to come.
