KickAss 120W DC Solar Blanket with Anderson Tail & USB Hub
Detailed Description

Power your off-grid adventures using the KickAss 120W DC Solar Blanket with Anderson Tail and USB Hub. Built for real-world touring, camping and remote travel, this high-performance solar blanket combines next-generation efficiency with rugged durability.

High-Efficiency N-Type TOPCon Solar Cell Technology

This solar blanket is constructed using advanced N-Type TOPCon solar cell technology, delivering up to 25% greater conversion efficiency compared to P-PERC panels. This means more usable power from the same sunlight, along with stronger low-light performance on cloudy days or in shaded campsites, giving you reliable output when you need it most. Another advantage of the N-Type TOPCon solar technology is that output power loss in high temperatures is greatly reduced, meaning your panels run efficiently in all weathers.

Charge Multiple Devices at Once

This solar blanket functions as a complete mobile charging hub. Featuring an Anderson tail and a USB hub with four integrated output ports, it allows you to power multiple devices at the same time. The 120W DC output suits fridges and power stations, the 45W USB-C PD fast-charges modern devices, and the dual USB-A QC3.0 ports handle phones, lights and accessories.

Extremely Lightweight and Compact

Weighing just 5.2kg, this solar blanket is a lightweight and compact solution for keeping your power topped up while travelling or camping.

Built Tough for Harsh Outdoor Conditions

Designed to handle the elements, this solar blanket features IP67 waterproof protection to guard against rain, splashes and dust. The premium ETFE coating adds extra durability by resisting heat, corrosion and long-term environmental wear, making it suitable for demanding outdoor use.

Fast, Simple Plug-and-Play Setup

With built-in Anderson connectors, setup is quick and straightforward. No complicated wiring or additional accessories are required. Simply connect, position the panel and start harvesting solar power within seconds.

Adjustable Kickstand for Maximum Efficiency

The built-in adjustable kickstand allows you to reposition the blanket throughout the day to follow the sun. Maintaining the optimal angle helps maximise solar input and deliver stronger, more consistent charging.

Flexible Installation Options

Designed for versatile setups, this blanket includes pre-cut eyelets and two carabiners, making it easy to hang, mount or secure to a vehicle, awning or campsite. It adapts easily whether you are stopping overnight or setting up for an extended stay.

    Great portable panel

This solar blanket does what it says it does. Its build quality is great, and it folds up into itself with ease. Don’t need a seperate bag. I’m using this with my KICKCHARGE POWERHUB and it just works. The built in clips work well. I would recommend this product.

    What a Rippe

So much better than my old solid, folding panels that weighed a tonne. This little unit folds up easy, is relatively light, has the very handy feature of USB slots for charging devices, and actually works. I have this paired with the 125Ah lithium box. At 11am, direct sun in May, it was pulling 8 amps an hour - more than enough to make up for my 60L fridge/freezer that cycles at 4-5 amps an hour .

The KickAss 120W DC Solar Blanket delivers a maximum power output of 120 watts with a voltage of 21.6V and current of 5.56A. It features an Anderson plug, DC 5521 port (both 120W max), one USB-C PD3.0 port delivering 45W, and two USB-A QC3.0 ports at 18W each for versatile device charging.
This means you can efficiently charge a wide range of devices simultaneously, from portable power stations and batteries via the Anderson plug to smartphones, tablets, and USB-C laptops using the USB ports. Its multi-output design ensures you get reliable solar power wherever you are.
Is the KickAss 120W DC Solar Blanket compatible with other KickAss power stations and solar regulators?
Yes, the KickAss 120W DC Solar Blanket is compatible with all KickAss portable power stations and most solar generators. It requires connection through a compatible solar regulator with the correct input rating to safely charge batteries.
This compatibility allows for plug-and-play use with KickAss power stations, especially when paired with the KickAss 20A 12V/24V MPPT solar charge controller, ensuring optimal battery charging and system safety. The Anderson tail simplifies connection and setup.
How do I set up the KickAss 120W DC Solar Blanket for optimal solar energy capture?
To set up, fully unfold the solar blanket (1462 x 660 x 15 mm), extend and lock the adjustable kickstand on the rear, then position it in a sunny, shade-free area angled directly towards the sun.
The adjustable kickstand and pre-cut eyelets with carabiners offer flexible mounting options on tents, vehicles, or flat surfaces. For best performance, face the panel north in the Southern Hemisphere and south in the Northern Hemisphere, ensuring maximum solar exposure throughout the day.
What safety precautions should I follow when using the KickAss 120W DC Solar Blanket?
Always use the solar blanket responsibly and never connect it directly to a battery without a compatible solar regulator. Connect and disconnect the panel in the shade to reduce electric shock risk, and keep batteries in ventilated areas away from sparks or flames.
