No, this charger is designed to charge lithium batteries only if they have an in-built Battery Management System (BMS). This safety requirement protects both the battery and charger during operation. The charger’s Lithium Activation mode is optimised for LiFePO4 batteries with BMS, ensuring safe, reliable charging and extending battery life.

To set up, first position the charger near the battery and plug it into a 220-240V AC power source. Use the ‘Mode’ button to select the correct battery type—AGM, Standard/Gel, or Lithium—then connect the alligator clamps or Anderson connector to the battery terminals. Always connect clamps after powering the charger to avoid sparks and ensure safe operation.

The charger includes reverse polarity protection, short circuit protection, and overheating protection that reduces current to 2A if the internal temperature reaches 95°C. These features prevent damage from incorrect connections, accidental clamp contact, and excessive heat, giving you peace of mind while charging your batteries in any environment.
