Product Compatibility: This control box is only compatible with KickAss Smart or Ultra-X batteries. It is not compatible with other brands. KickAss will not cover restocking costs for incompatibility-related change of mind returns.

The KickAss 12V Control Box can power up to 10 devices simultaneously through 6 USB ports, 2 x 12V cigarette sockets, and 2 x Anderson input/output ports, with a maximum combined current of 50 amps. This allows you to run or charge phones, tablets, 12V fridges, ovens, and more all at once. Its smart circuit protection ensures your devices and battery stay safe while delivering reliable power for your off-grid adventures.

The LCD screen is only compatible with KickAss Smart and Ultra-X lithium batteries. This compatibility enables real-time monitoring of battery voltage, current, temperature, and system health via the RJ45 data cable included. Using it with these batteries ensures accurate battery status display and integrated lithium BMS alarm modes for enhanced safety and performance.

To install, mount the control box securely on a firm, flat surface inside your canopy, camper, or caravan using the two mounting points. Connect the control box to your KickAss lithium battery via an Anderson socket using a suitable Maxi Fuse cable (not included), then connect the supplied 5-metre RJ45 data cable between the battery and control box for LCD monitoring. Finally, power on the battery and test the USB or 12V sockets to confirm operation.

The control box features smart circuit protection with fuses and a resettable 50A breaker to safeguard your battery and connected devices. It includes voltage, current, temperature, and short circuit protection, plus lithium BMS alarm modes for KickAss lithium batteries. These built-in safety measures ensure reliable operation and protect against overload, overheating, and electrical faults.

Yes, the control box includes 4 USB-A ports (5V/2.1A each), 1 USB-C1 port supporting Power Delivery (PD) at 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A, and 1 USB-C2 port with Quick Charge 3.0 (QC 3.0) at 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A. This allows you to fast charge up to 6 USB devices simultaneously, making it ideal for powering phones, tablets, and other USB-powered gear efficiently.

The control box includes an under-voltage protection feature that prevents battery damage by automatically disconnecting loads when voltage drops below safe levels. You can release this protection via the LCD screen if needed. This design helps extend battery life while giving you control over power management during low-voltage situations.

Use a Maxi Fuse cable with an Anderson plug (not included) matched to your battery’s capacity and expected current draw, keeping cable runs as short as possible to reduce voltage drop. Ensure all plugs and connectors are fully seated and free of dust or debris. Proper cable selection and connection ensure safe, efficient power delivery and protect your equipment.
