Ultra thin design
This ultra thin 280W solar panel is a sleek, durable solution or those seeking efficient solar power. It’s perfect for compact spaces, and delivers reliable energy in a lightweight design. Perfect for installing on the roof of your 4WD, trailer or caravan.
High 44V VOC
With a 44V VOC, this panel can be paired with a KickAss MPPT Solar Charge Controller to charge large Kickass 12V high capacity LiFePo4 batteries and 24V or 48V battery systems. The high voltage ensures optimal performance and fast charging, even when the panels are partially shaded.
Monocrystalline PERC cells
These solar panels combine our KickAss ultra-efficient A-grade monocrystalline solar cells with additional PERC technology. PERC is an innovation which adds an extra layer onto the back of the solar cell. This layer reflects unused light back into the solar cell, which improves efficiency, reduces loss, and puts more energy into your battery.
Multi Busbar Technology
These ultra thin panels are constructed using multiple busbars, meaning that the electrons generated by sunlight have shorter distances to travel before being collected. This reduces resistance and power losses, resulting in higher overall efficiency. If a solar cell is partially damaged, then the multiple busbar technology also means that energy can still be collected by additional busbars, making the overall system extremely durable and resilient.
Bypass Diode
The bypass diode ensures the panels will continue to produce power even when partially shaded. This makes them ideal for rooftop installations, where sunlight conditions may vary.
3.2mm Thick Full Tempered Glass
The panel features a 3.2mm protective layer of full tempered glass. This protective layer allows more sunlight in, and also enhances their strength and durability. The perfect balance of durability, efficiency, and streamlined convenience.
Lightweight Aluminium Alloy Frame
The aluminium frame is less than 6mm thick, minimising wind resistance and helping to boost your vehicle’s fuel efficiency. Plus, it keeps your vehicle's overall height low – perfect for streamlined travel.

Do not get the controller wet, as it is not waterproof and will be damaged by moisture.
This device is a charge controller, not a complete battery management system. It is designed to power small accessories like LED lights. However, the load output is dependent on the solar input (daylight and darkness) and does not provide a consistent power supply suitable for running appliances like a fridge or freezer. Therefore, we advise against connecting electronics that need stable and reliable power directly to the MPPT Solar Controller. Instead, all accessories should be connected directly to your battery bank using appropriately fused circuits.
