The KickAss 12V 22Amp Smart Battery Charger delivers a maximum charging current of 22 amps and uses a 9-stage automatic charging process to optimise battery health and performance. This multi-stage charging ensures your battery is charged efficiently and safely to its full capacity.

This charger is compatible with 12V Lead Acid, GEL, AGM, and Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries only. It is not suitable for NiCad or other battery chemistries.

To set up, connect the red clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal, then plug the charger into a 240V AC mains supply. The charger automatically starts the 9-stage charging cycle once connected.

The charger includes reverse polarity protection, which prevents charging if clamps are connected incorrectly, indicated by a blinking red LED. It also has safeguards against overcharging, overheating, and short circuits.

No, this charger is designed to charge lithium (LiFePO4) batteries only if they have an in-built Battery Management System (BMS). Charging lithium batteries without a BMS is not supported.
