The KickAss Smart Monitor Lite Shunt + Tank Sensor is a powerful, easy-to-use solution for monitoring your off-grid power and water systems. Designed for touring rigs, caravans and 4WD setups, it gives you clear, reliable insight into how your battery bank is performing, how long you can keep running your gear, and when it’s time to recharge or top up the tank.

At the heart of the system is a high-capacity 600A shunt that accurately measures charge and discharge current, battery voltage and State of Charge. This allows you to understand exactly what’s happening inside your battery bank, helping you manage power more efficiently and avoid unexpected shutdowns when running fridges, lighting, inverters and other essential off-grid equipment. As loads and charging sources change, the system continuously provides real-time calculations and updates how long your battery has left to run or how long it will take to recharge. This takes the guesswork out of power management and makes it easier to plan your usage while travelling off-grid.

The Smart Monitor Lite can also connect to your tank sensor or sender, allowing you to monitor both your battery data and water level from a single unit. It’s compatible with resistive and voltage-type tank senders and can be calibrated to suit virtually any tank size or shape.

The shunt supports AGM, lithium and other common battery types, from small single-battery systems through to large dual-battery lithium banks.

Integrated data logging records voltage, current and temperature for up to 35 days, allowing you to review power usage trends over the course of a trip. With a wide input voltage range and flexible power options, the unit can be powered directly from the battery or an external supply and used with battery banks of any voltage. For added control and protection, the external relay output allows you to automate system behaviour based on voltage, current, power or temperature.
