Fantastic little portable airconditioner.
We used the KickAss portable aircon for the first time on the weekend. We were camped in our Toyota high Ace campervan van in 31 degree heat. We sat the aircon between the seats and put the rear exhaust duct out through the passenger window. We had made a cover for the window out of core flute with a hole to accommodate the hot air exhaust duct. The aircon did everything asked of it and cooled the entire inside space of the van within a few minutes. We couldn’t be happier with the aircon.

Perfect van AC
We live rural Australia and this AC in our van has been life changing. Our 2year old now can sleep in the van on the hot days without us worrying about the temperature. Night time use is a breeze (pun intended) as we set it for 6 hours to conserve our 450ah battery. The tubes and exhaust extensions are extremely easy to adapt and use. We ran our exhaust out the roof vent and was able to rig it in a way to also stop bugs coming in.
The convenience of being comfortable far outlays the cost. We spent many sleepless night in the NT without an AC, so take it from us, if you think you might need it then just get it.

The KickAss 400W "Personal Polar Vortex"
Think of this less like a room AC and more like a high-tech, icy stand fan. In my 3x3 room, it won't chill the walls, but point it at your face and you’re cool as a cucumber instantly.
I haven’t tried it for camping purposes, but I think it would do an amazing job

Solidly made unit
Set it up in my 6mtr camper trailer. It has canvas sides so the inside gets hot on sunny days.
The unit worked really hard to keep the temperature at a comfortable level. We placed one of the vents facing the bed to keep it cool overnight and soon had to turn the AC off as it was too cold.
Overall ot worked faultlessly and is a solid, well made unit which represents good value for money.

Air conditioner
Works great. Very quiet at night in sleep mode. Installed in a small van. It does struggle on a 40 degree full sun day . Run good at night. I'm very happy how it works.
