Detailed Description
The age-old issue of trailer connector pins closing up and failing to make good electrical contact is a common cause of malfunctioning trailer lighting or braking circuits—posing a serious safety concern. Trailer Vision’s STS Trailer Plugs and Sockets feature a patent-pending Spring Terminal System (STS), which ensures a reliable trailer plug connection every time. Using specially designed stainless steel spring connection pins, the contacts remain fully tensioned when connected, eliminating poor connections. Each plug or socket is fully compatible with existing trailer connectors, but for the most reliable performance, it's best to use a Trailer Vision STS plug and socket together. These connectors feature quality stainless steel screw terminals for secure wiring, along with gland nuts to prevent dust ingress. Constructed from heavy-duty nylon, they offer a durable, dependable towing solution.

The quality of Trailer Vision components stand out from the crowd and this item is no exception. I have not installed this yet so can't comment on the spring idea other than to say I think it would have to help with unplugging as it is the wriggling of tight plugs when unplugging that tends to squash the pins causing failure. It is hard to see in the product description but basically it is simply a small coil spring over each pin to help push the plug away from the socket when unplugging.
