Is PowerBoss a battery or a power station?
PowerBoss combines an inverter, chargers and power monitoring. It connects to a separate battery bank; it does not contain a battery. Battery bundles are available in the wider PowerBoss range.
Can I charge from my vehicle and solar?
Yes. The built-in 40A DCDC + MPPT charger supports charging from your vehicle’s alternator or suitable solar panels. PowerBoss also supports simultaneous AC mains and solar charging. Check the product manual for input requirements.
What does the optional remote display add?
The remote LCD display puts real-time monitoring and a hardware on/off switch within easy reach. Its integrated Bluetooth module enables mobile connection and control, with flush or surface mounting to suit your rig.
Which batteries can I use?
PowerBoss is designed to integrate with KickAss Smart Lithium and Ultra-X Lithium batteries for state-of-charge information and system alerts. Confirm battery compatibility, charging settings and capacity against the product manual before choosing your setup.
