If you’ve been following our blog for a while, you’ll know that we love to get out and put our gear through its paces in the real world. Well, we’ve just wrapped up our biggest photoshoot yet – twice as long, and more remote than any we’ve done before!
This time, the KickAss crew packed up and hit the road for the incredible Binghi Station in rural NSW – and trust us, if you haven’t seen it yet, go check it out on Hipcamp. It’s one of those rare places that makes you stop in your tracks and just say… wow.
The Crew Making The Magic Happen
We were stoked to have our go-to photographer Shannon from Shannon Kelly Creative along for the ride once again – she’s the magician behind so many of our best shots. We were also joined by model Jaycee Wilson and her Troopy, Saltee – both absolute pros when it comes to bringing our products to life in the great outdoors. Plenty of the KickAss crew got in front of the camera too!
But that wasn’t all. Throughout the week we had a stream of visitors roll in with some seriously unique rigs, plus heaps of new gear to shoot. Keep an eye on our website and socials – you’ll be seeing fresh photos and videos rolling out very soon!
What Really Happens Behind the Scenes
Between shoots, the crew managed to squeeze in a few off-duty adventures – including midnight swims in jaw-dropping gorges, dodging (and photographing) a few too many snakes, and spotting kangaroos, cattle, sheep… and even an echidna.
For some of the team, it was also their first time tackling 4WD tracks – and they absolutely smashed it. From steep climbs to river crossings, our gear got tested, our nerves got tested, and we loved every minute of it.
Dust, Sweat & KickAss Memories
After days on the road, endless dust, and countless layers of sunscreen, we rolled home dirty, tired, and totally stoked. It was our biggest KickAss adventure yet – and we can’t wait for you to see what we captured out there.
