FAQ: KickAss BBQ Chicken & Veggies

How long does it take to heat up food in the KickAss 12V travel oven?

Cooking times vary depending on what you're heating, but most meals take between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Pre-cooked meals and leftovers typically warm up in 30–45 minutes, while raw meats and vegetables may take 1.5–2 hours. For best results, always check food temperature before eating.

Can I use the travel oven while my vehicle is turned off?

Yes, but only if your 12V battery system has enough capacity. The oven draws 130W (around 10–11A per hour), so it’s best used with a dual battery setup to avoid draining your starter battery. If running off a standalone battery, make sure it has enough charge to power the oven for the duration of cooking.

What containers can I use in the KickAss 12V travel oven?

Use heat-resistant metal, glass, or silicone bakeware that fits inside the oven tray. Avoid plastic or containers with airtight lids, as heat and pressure can cause damage. Aluminium foil trays work well for meal prep and easy cleanup, especially when camping or on the road.
