The KICKASS team have done it again! A new design in Voltage Sensitive Relays unlike anything currently on the market!

This product is a unique dual-sensing VSR for charging an auxiliary battery system while ensuring that your vehicles starter battery is isolated when there is no charge from the alternator. Quick connect Anderson-style plugs allow for easy installation, no hard wiring! Side molded mounting points allow flexibility for installation whether it be under the bonnet or anywhere else in your 4WD, caravan or camper. The units are also water resistant and can even be used for marine applications

The dual sensing function intelligently detects the charge of both the auxiliary and cranking batteries and allows for current to flow back in the case where the starting battery is low, or when an external charger is connected to the auxiliary battery such as AC or Solar

The VSR is also fitted with an override switch for those sticky situations when you're cranking battery has been discharged and you need to transfer charge back from your auxiliary battery.

The Basics on How It Works.

When the vehicle's engine is running, the alternator will charge the start Battery. Once the start battery has reached 13.2V the VSR will connect the start and auxiliary batteries, enabling them to charge simultaneously

When the vehicle's engine is not running, the alternator is no longer charging, so the start battery voltage will drop. Once the start battery voltage is below 12.8V, the VSR will disconnect from the auxiliary battery. This means the auxiliary battery can NOT drain the start battery

We have developed and designed our all-new KICKASS^® MAXI Fuse Anderson cable to be the perfect solution for connecting up a battery to just about anything. This cable provides the ultimate circuit protection ensuring your battery is fused correctly through an 80A inline MAXI Fuse thus preventing a major meltdown should you ever have a short circuit in your system. 

The length of this cable has been specially designed to provide adequate reach when connecting to the vehicle starting battery. The provided length allows the cable to be expertly run through the battery compartment and connect to other cables such as dual battery wiring. The MAXI Fuse holder is weatherproof and integrated into the cable making it very easy and fast to install - there is no need to spend time mounting like traditional fuse holders or circuit breakers. 

The cable includes a 50 Amp Anderson style connector at one end providing a seamless connection to any device or electrical systems such as battery boxes or solar panels that use Anderson style connectors. At the other end of the cable, two high-quality 8mm ring terminals simply connect to your battery making this cable the main fused connection point. A spare 80A MAXI Fuse is also included with the cable so you have a backup if needed.

This cable is pre-crimped with Anderson connector terminals which makes it easy to run through holes and grommets. Once the cable is run, all you need to do is clip the Anderson connectors on and connect them to each other. the kit also includes cable ties for securing the main cables, a spare 80A Maxifuse, spare Anderson connector terminals and a small ring terminal assortment for optional connection to an inline VSR if required.
